The Georgia Bridgemen are selling tickets now for delicious Boston Butts, ready to be picked up Friday, August 27. We'll have two pickup sites on this date: LHS from 9 am to 11:30 pm, and at Bemiss Harvey's (near Moody AFB) 10 am - 6 pm. This is a suggested payment schedule. Mandatory means you must have those amounts paid up to date. Friends and Family Package for Philly/NY Trip
We have put together the following trip for anyone who is interested in going with the Bridgemen to the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade. The itinerary for this trip will consist of several things with the band and several things on your own. The trip includes admission to a Broadway show, admission to the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, a
one-day guided tour of New York City, time to enjoy Times Square, Little Italy and China Town, and admission to the Observation Deck at Top of the Rock. Details, costs, and a payments schedule are included in the letter linked below. The completed form must be returned to Mr Bowman by May 7.

Bands Score Superiors at Festival
Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony received all Superior ratings at the Georgia Bandmaster's Association Concert Band Festival this past Friday in Bainbridge. Congratulations to these students for their outstanding performances!
Jazz Ensemble Takes Bronze at Disney World
The LHS Jazz Ensemble placed third in competition against jazz bands and jazz choirs from across the nation this past weekend at the Disney Jazz Celebration.
Our students won Best Brass, received straight superior ratings, and won the Bronze Trophy (3rd place of all competing groups regardless of classification or musical genre). "Needless to say I am quite pleased at the accomplishments of these wonderful young people. They represented our school and community in grand fashion," said Jazz Ensemble Director Charles Todd II.
Band Fees Set for 2010-11
You can begin making payments to your students account now.
Uniform Cost: $60.00 (advance purchase) $70.00 (after June 1) (Black tuxedo Pants and White Tuxedo Shirt payable to Ivey’s).
Vest and Bow Tie set: $28.00
Windbreaker Jacket: $60.00
Shoes: $27.00 ($30.00 after initial order of the season)
Band fees: $180.00 for the first student /$145.00 each additional Horn line student.
Band fees- Auxiliary: $130.00 (Danceline or Color Guard members). Additional fees for windsuit, and uniform. No price discount for additional student.
Additional fees are charged for band trips and some away football games.
Band fees($180 or $130) are due by July 15, 2010. These payments can be made in installments: May 15 ($60); June 15 ($60); and July 15 ($60) .

Return Check Fees Increased
Effective October 1, 2008
The band has seen a significant increase in the number of returned checks, and we are incurring excessive cost due to bank fees. Effective October 1, all returned checks will require a $30.00 returned check fee to be paid to the band. If you are having financial difficulties in these difficult times, please talk with one of the band officers so that we can help you with a payment schedule or other means to provide for your student's needs.
